Call for Entries: 16th Annual Juried Exhibition: Griffin Photography Museum

Griffin Museum

Entrants must become members of the Griffin Museum of Photography at the
time of submission. Membership applications can be found at
or by mail a SASE to the Griffin Museum of Photography.

Each photographer can submit up to 5 images in either digital or print
format (digital format preferred) for judging purposes. All photographic
mediums are eligible for submission. A maximum of 5 files can be
submitted, please no more than 5. If you choose to become a member
of the Griffin during the month of February, then you may add one
more submission, bringing the total to 6. Family level members and
above may submit up to 3 additional images.

Digital Submissions – preferred
Digital files must be in .jpg or jpeg format. Maximum file size should be no
larger than 8” in the largest dimension with 150 dpi resolution (image
quality 8).

Files must be formatted for a PC. Please test your files before sending.

File names should start with the applicant’s last name and be numbered to
correspond with the checklist. Please number the files and checklist in the
order you would like the images viewed. (example: NAME_3.jpg)

Please send only CD-Roms, no DVDs.

Digital submissions will NOT be returned.

Print Submissions

Submissions should not be matted or framed

Minimum print size 8” x 10” , maximum print size 11” x 14”

All prints MUST have the following information on the back:
o First and last name
o Title and date of work
o Dimensions (when framed)
o Indication of top of image
o Number to denote the order in which the prints are to be viewed
(this should correspond with checklist)

Caption List
Include two copies of the caption list complete with the following: name,
address, phone number and email.

Make sure that the caption list is numbered in the order in which the files
or prints are to be viewed.

Dimensions (when framed)


Return envelope and postage – for print submissions only
Please provide a return envelope that fits your prints and provide postage if you
would like your submission returned to you. Print submissions will not be
returned if there is not the proper amount of postage. Please note if you do not
want your prints returned to you.

Entry Form and Check List
Fill out the entry form and check list and return with your payment, your CD or
prints. For print submission only – please include your return envelope and
prepaid postage as well.
Please submit work according to these criteria. Work that does not comply with
these requirements will be disqualified. The Griffin Museum of Photography will
not refund membership fees to those that have not complied with these
submission guidelines.
Deadlines and Fees
All entries must be received between February 1st -March 31st, 2010. Check out
our website for our operating hours.
The submission fee is $10 (per submitter, not image) for current or new members
and $5 for student members. Students of Academic Member Schools can
submit to the juried show for free with ID. If you are not a member you must also
send along the appropriate membership level payment.
