The Viridian Artist’s Gallery is pleased to announce an open call for applications to their 2nd Annual National – International Juried Photography Exhibition.
Photographers working in all genres, film or digital, but finished work must be wall hung not projected, are eligible to apply. Applicants are encouraged to submit a cohesive body of work.
Awards:
First Prize $300
Second Prize $200
Third Prize $150
Honorable Mentions- no limit
All winners will be listed on Viridian’s website
Calendar:
Exhibition – March 13 through March 31 2012.
Entry Deadline – Saturday January 7th 2012.
Notification of Acceptance – January 26 2012, by email.
Accepted Work Due to Gallery – Friday, March 9nd 2012.
Reception – Saturday, March 24th,4:00 – 7:00 pm.
Removal of Work – April 3, 2012.
Fee:
Minimum entry fee is $40 for three images and $5 for each additional entry. All entry fees are non-refundable.
To Apply: Please submit the following materials.
1.Work sample: Each applicant may submit as many images as they wish for consideration. Please submit your work sample via the, www.viridianartists.com\submission using the following specifications:
Preparing your image files (read carefully):
Save images as a .jpg. Image files should be no larger than 1024×768 pixels at 72dpi, RGB 8Bit.
Each file should not exceed 1mb.
Files should be named “last name _first name _name IE. Smith_John _title.jpg”
Please submit the size of the finished work 24″ x 36″ maximum.
Filenames should be lowercase and only contain the letters of the alphabet, a-z, numbers, 0-9, and the underscore, _.
2.Entry Form: Complete the entry form online.
3.Payment of fee: through PayPal
4.Accepted Work: The receipt of any entry will be understood to imply agreement on the part of the entrant with all conditions set forth in the prospectus. All accepted work must be suitably framed and wired for presentation. Sales will be encouraged. The Gallery takes a 30% commission.
