A Portfolio Competition III, January thru March, 2011
http://texasphoto.org/GalleryPortfolio3.html
The Texas Photographic Society is hosting it’s third Photographic Portfolio Competition juried by Newspace Center for Photography’s Director Chris Bennett. Enter now for a chance to have your work selected for an exhibition online. Each month, TPS will feature two portfolios, one by an emerging photographer and one by a mid-career photographer. This competition is open to TPS members only.
For this competition, you will be competing for one of six solo exhibitions that will be online in January, February and March of 2011. After your month-long featured exhibition, your gallery will be archived and available for viewing for the period of 11 months. In addition, the six featured photographers will be published in a book that will be available for purchase through Blurb.com. Photographers may enter more than one portfolio. Please do not submit more than 20 images from each portfolio.
TPS defines an “Emerging Photographer” as a person who has not been featured in a solo gallery exhibition. We define a “Mid-Career Photographer” as a person who may have had a solo gallery exhibition, and is not represented by a commercial gallery. This competition will be offered four times each year.
