The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Photography and Film is pleased to announce The Light Factory Fifth Juried Annuale, a national photography competition.
With this competition, The Light Factory is seeking challenging and inventive new work from photographers and artists throughout the country for an exciting exhibition. The work can include both traditional and non-traditional approaches to photographic imaging.
The exhibition will consist of 6 photographers, each of whom will be represented by 5-7 images [size permitting].

** March 23, 2012 Deadline for all materials: submissions, fee, entry form, and one appropriately-sized self-addressed stamped envelope for return of submission materials.

JUROR
Kevin Miller, Director // Southeast Museum of Photography, Daytona Beach, FL
Kevin Miller is the Director of the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Museum maintains a significant permanent collection with strengths in general photographic history, documentary photography, and contemporary photography. Since 2001, Miller has curated more than 80 exhibitions and published numerous exhibition catalogues. Originally from Australia, he studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and received an MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Miller has served as the Department Chair of Visual Arts at Daytona Beach College and was the head of photographic studies at Australia’s Charles Stuart University and the Melbourne School of Art.
ELIGIBILITY
The Light Factory Fifth Juried Annuale is open to everyone. Entrants must enter only 5-7 images from a specific series or body of work. If you submit an installation, it should include only 5-7 images. Please include a short statement (no more than 150 words) about the work along with a current resume or curriculum vitae.
MEDIA
From traditional to digital, all photographic techniques and approaches are welcome. This can include works that stretch the boundaries of the assumed definitions of photography-based media.
CATALOGUE
The Light Factory will publish an illustrated catalogue; 1 complimentary copy will be sent to each photographer selected for the exhibition. Additional catalogues may be purchased by contacting The Light Factory.
ENTRY FEE
