British writer and curator Charlotte Cotton has served as the Creative Director of London’s Media Space, Curator and Head of the Wallis Annenberg Department of Photography at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Curator of Photography at the Victoria & Albert Museum and Head of Programming at The Photographers’ Gallery, London.

She has been a visiting critic and professor at colleges and universities throughout the US and England including Yale University, Cranbrook Academy of Art, University of California, Los Angeles and the Royal College of Art.

She has authored a number of books including The Photograph as Contemporary Art, Then Things Went Quiet, Guy Bourdin and Imperfect Beauty.
