CALL TO ARTISTS beginning immediately: Call to photographers for a juried photographic exhibition titled: “Ecology of Environmentâ€. Apply for a chance to show your work at one of the newest and most exciting galleries in the heart of the Scottsdale Arts District. This area is the 4th largest art district in the United States, guaranteeing your work to be seen by many art lovers. Method Art is a gallery where photography is not only strongly supported, but also highly celebrated. This opportunity also includes exposure of your work during Scottsdale Artwalk every Thursday nights. This has been a 30 year long tradition of over 70 galleries opening up their doors to a large variety of artists and artwork. The Concept of “Ecology of Environment,” is simply that. What do you see in your environment? How does it affect your daily life? What do you notice about the changes or the constants? How do you personally define and capture the environment that surrounds you? Each artist chosen will have to bring a new light to this every changing subject matter and create a piece that speaks without saying a word.
Artists chosen to exhibit their work will be announced and notified by October 12th, 2012. A cash award (cash prize to be announced) and fellowship prize will also be given to the best in show winner; this individual will be invited to show their work at the gallery for a period of 6 months. The exhibition will take place from November 5th, 2012 until December 29th 2012, with the opening reception being on November 8th at Method Art Gallery located in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ.
